About Nick
Nick has been working at UConn since 2013 in various capacities. He started as an academic administrator in the School of Fine Arts Dean’s Office, then as an academic advisor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ Academic Services Center before joining the team at the School of Engineering. He earned a B.A. in Legal Studies and Education from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, an M.Ed. in Elementary and Special Education from Westfield State University, a Post-Masters Certificate in Nick has been working at UConn since 2013 in several capacities. He started as an academic administrator in the School of Fine Arts Dean’s Office, then as an academic advisor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ Academic Services Center before joining the team at the School of Engineering as an advisor. He earned a B.A. in Legal Studies and Education from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, an M.Ed. in Elementary and Special Education from Westfield State University, a Graduate Certificate in Post-Secondary Education and Disability Services from the University of Connecticut, and a doctorate (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership with a focus in organizational leadership in higher education management from the University of Hartford.
As the Assistant Director of Student and Faculty Engagement in the School of Engineering, Nick serves as the director of the Engineering House Learning Community (EHLC), the Co-manager of the International Engineering Program (IEP), the Co-op coordinator for the School of Engineering, and the Co-director of the School’s Peer Mentor program. He also leads various faculty and staff advisor trainings at both the School and University level and is a School of Engineering engagement representative for external industry partners.
Prior to working at UConn, Nick taught K-12 at various levels in special education resource classrooms throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. He also worked as an academic coach for an educational consulting firm, working with college students across the country. In his free time, he loves watching and playing basketball, going to concerts, and playing music. He is a diehard fan of all New England sports, especially UConn Basketball.
