FAQ's
What is the cost of the event? FREE to SoE students/alumni. Employer's cost is $150.
How will the platform work ? All company/entity representatives planning to participate must have a Handshake account. Employers must set up schedules in advance. Students/alumni have the opportunity to sign up for sessions in advance of the day of the fair, but can sign up on the day of the fair. "Launch Session" buttons will be available for employers two hours prior to the session start times. Both organizations and students/alumni must use Google Chrome or Firefox to successfully launch the video/audio functions.
Will fair-goers communicate with organizations through a chat function or will there be any live video communication? Participating organizations can have up to 100 representatives interact in 10-minute 1-on-1 chats (text and video-based) for the duration of the event and a maximum of twelve 30-minute group sessions per organization.
Payment: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are all acceptable forms of payment, and a link to pay will be available in the invoice sent to you upon approval. If you need to pay by check, please contact gabrielle.carver@uconn.edu for additional information.
