About Emily: A first generation college student, Emily graduated from Goucher College with a BA in English in 1996. She began her career as a market research analyst. After four years, Emily transitioned to the non-profit sector, working as a fundraising researcher and grant writer for community organizations and academic institutions. She is most proud of her success in raising money for programs that help underserved youth reach their full potential. In 2016, Emily joined EDOC, where she is inspired by the center’s mission and by the infectious positive energy of the students.
Emily’s personal interests include a passion for financial education. In her free time, she is pursuing a master’s degree in family financial planning.
