Due to the COVID19 pandemic, Senior Design Demonstration Day was held as a virtual event on May 1st, 2020.
A message from our Deans to our 2020 Senior Design students:
Dear Senior Design Class of 2020:
There is no doubt that this school year was unique in our 104-year history. Before this academic year, we had never gone without an in-person Senior Design Demonstration Day or Commencement ceremony. Despite all that, we, as a School, persevered. All of you, as students, persevered. But, not only did you persevere, you thrived, especially when faced with challenging circumstances. That ability to adjust and reverse course, in the face of obstacles, is one of the truest indicators of success as an engineer. For all of that, and for all the hard work you’ve done, take some time to reflect on this year, and the amazing work you did on these year-long projects.
A PDF file of the official 2020 Senior Design Demonstration Day can be accessed HERE. If you wish to have a paper version mailed to you, please provide your current mailing address.
As you look through the book, share these memories with your loved ones. Scan through different departments and find your friends. Read aimlessly at some of the impressive projects your colleagues worked on.
We’re all proud of the work you’ve done this year, and we hope you come back in future years as mentors for our Senior Design groups. Because now, more than ever, you’ll have insight that will be valuable for future students, as they traverse the hurdles of their Senior Design projects.
Enjoy your Senior Design book, see you soon, and good luck in all of your future endeavors!
