UConn offers the first year Engineering curriculum and numerous second year distance learning Engineering courses at all regional campuses. Engineering courses and supporting courses are offered by highly qualified faculty. Advising is provided collaboratively between the advising centers at each regional campus and the Storrs Engineering professional advising staff.
The Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford and Waterbury campuses admit students directly from high school or transfer into the College of Engineering. Students who begin their academic career as ACES-Exploring Engineering or another non-engineering major may become eligible for admission to the College of Engineering after completing the minimum eligibility coursework required and demonstrating strong academic success at UConn.
Regional campus Engineering students transition to the Storrs campus at varying times in their academic career to complete their Engineering degree. The Stamford campus currently offers a four-year degree program in Computer Science. The campus change timeframe is individually planned with the student and their advisor based on major, campus policies and procedures and course availability.
